Been drafting this cube online for what feels like months. Well, actually like two. But we got it done. 2HG style. Spencer and I went mono-black and Naya control. Here's a rundown of the decks:
Mono-Black: Fill the board with black mana symbols and play Grey Merchant for big damage. 2HG hits both players, so double the damage. Then reanimate him back from the dead for more. Also running Griselbrand, Kukosho, Ob Nix and Liliana. And tons of removal.
Naya Control: Balance, Earthquake, Phyx Processor and many planeswalkers. Some removal and Rector (damn near killed 'er), but it was reactive to the board.
Twelve wizards showed up (and Courtney!) along with the canine mascots. The food was abundant for the hungry players. Mimosas were flowing.
Paul's place is a great space for slinging cards. Including the chill-tastic backyard. Inside and out, he was the host with the most.
Mix Master Mike was also the BBQ King for the day. Very tasty sausages.

Using Capsize and Den Protector to return Time Walk every turn is not very fair, is it?
Or slamming down the Merchant with Gris & Kukosho on the board. Fun times! We went 4-1.
Reading the cards can help and is mostly encouraged.
